Review: The Claiming of the Shrew

The Claiming of the Shrew The Claiming of the Shrew by Shana Galen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What a wonderful second chance (ish) romance. From the beginning from the series, we've seen Draven as this powerful and wise man. The Survivors look up to him and it seems like he has all figured it out. It was delightful to read that he has fears (of being too old for Catarina, of his temper, etc) and regrets. It adds a humanity on him that we've only seen glimpses on the prior books.
Catarina is a wonderful heroine that overcame her circumstances and rise above her upbringing. She's fierce and honest and knows what she wants.
Their love story is beautiful and it's always a delight to see the other survivors making an appearance and meeting new ones. Can we have a book on Duncan?
