I enjoyed this one more than the first one on the series. I loved Diana and Aidan as characters, both individually and in connection with each other. Their backstories were interesting and added to the conflict and reasoning behind their actions without exaggerating the obstacles to face.
I found refreshing that Diana and her brother had a good relationship and that he wasn't a villain/abusive/a jerk to her. Sure, he was a dilettante but he was always on her corner. It's nice to read about good family relationship sometimes.
As for the romance, I really like that Aidan always respected Diana for her mind, courage and spirit and that he never sought to change her or she to change him. These were two people that actually met and fell in love and made decisions together and that is always a 10/10 rec for me!
I can't wait to read about Huntley
