A wonderful series beginner.! I really enjoyed both Opal and Nik's personalities, their quest and their backgrounds and I look forward to know more about them as the books continue to come!
My only take would be that some descriptions were too heavy and confusing for a non native speaker and it took me a while to be able to visualize the world she describes, but it's nothing unsurmountable.
