My rating: 4 of 5 stars
3.5 leaning into 4 stars. It's an amazing novel debut and I really liked the characters and the setting... however I feel the story dragged in a few parts with too much description and the resolution seemed rushed. I would have preferred the author to spend more time into the conclusion of the book instead of the setting in India. I felt Julian and Emmaline's coming to terms with what happened and years of feelings should have taken more time than it did.... but I look forward to read the rest of the series!
